Anybody have any ideas on whether an update may have occured or is there a setting I need to change? Is this a security issue? I'm really stumped. It worked about a month ago and now it doesn't. I don't know why that would be since I am not connected to the internet. Laptop #2 shows the file (that is actually on laptop #1) as being connected via the Internet. Laptop #1 shows the folder as being part of the "Local Network".just as I'd expect. I can open other shared files on both laptops, like shared pictures and shared videos.

Internet and this type of file is harmful. I get an error message that seems says something like it won't open the file because it can't find the file on the mdb file on laptop #1 in the shared folder but the file will not open. The other laptop (#2) also has the access application and "sees" the. One laptop (#1) has the Access Application and the mdb file in a shared folder. I used a cross connect cable to network 2 laptops.
